VICTOR CHIN Obituary

Victor Kuon Hong Chin On May 20, 2012, our beloved Father, Brother, & Uncle passed away peacefully at the age of 72, surrounded by his children. Victor was born in Beira, Mozambique-Africa on July 26, 1939. He was predeceased by his beloved parents Fe Ling Chin and Yen Cheong Toy. While living in Beira, Victor played soccer for the CFB (Clube Ferroviario da Beira) and basketball for the CBA ( Clube Atletico da Beira). Victor also served in the military. At the age of 33, Victor journeyed to the United States where he worked as a machinist at the Alameda Naval Air Base for decades before retiring. Victor loved to travel with his best friend Julia where they enjoyed Europe, Asia, South and North America. Victor also loved to sing and dance, and he was a devoted SF Giants and 49ers fan. Victor is survived by his loving children Michael and Michelle Chin, his siblings Liz (James), Koong, Karen (Bill), Fei (Annabella), Howk (Evelyn), Steve and many nieces and nephews. Victor will always be remembered as a knowledgeable, kind, generous, and loving person. We love you and will miss you deeply, and you will forever be in our hearts. Visitation for friends will be on May 28th, 2012 from 4-5pm at Green Street Mortuary, 649 Green Street, San Francisco. A private service will be held on May 29th, 2012. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Victor K. Chin's memory to the National Psoriasis Foundation 6600 SW 92nd Ave Suite 300 Portland, OR 97223.
