Victoria Phyllis Mier Idiart passed away on February 21, 2014 in Seattle, Washington. She was born in Flagstaff, Arizona to Victor and Mary Mier on July 11, 1941. Vicki spent most of her life in the San Francisco Bay Area before moving to Seattle, Washington in 2013 to be with her children. In San Francisco she met her beloved husband of 38 years, Pierre Idiart, who died in 2003.
She is survived by her daughter Jeannette (Babu Rajendran) and her son Jon (Rebecca Harsh). She is also survived by her sisters, Grace Boren and Mary Theresa Caldwell, and her nieces and nephews.
Vicki will be remembered as a lively, generous and caring person with a great sense of humor. She loved socializing with her friends, especially at the Basque Cultural center, where she was a founding member.
She will be greatly missed by her family and many, many friends.
A celebration of her life will be held at the Basque Cultural Center in on April 4, 2014.
