Virginia H. Lipman 1924 - 2007 Virginia passed away in her sleep on July 31, 2007 of lung cancer. She was a non-smoker. She is deeply mourned by Bob her husband of 43 years and her niece Mimi Goldman and Paul Goldman. She was born in Seattle and came to San Francisco when she was 12 with her parents Ruby and Rodney Howard along with her younger sister Carolyn. All have predeceased her. Virginia attended UC Berkeley for two years and then moved to N.Y. when her father received a business transfer there. She soon returned to San Francisco and began a long and much appreciated career as the administrative assistant to top executives at the brokerage firm Sutro & Co. until she retired in 1999. All of her life she was loved by those who knew her because of her genuine interest in them along with her special and wonderful smile.
