Virginia MacCubbin Obituary

Virginia K. MacCubbin

Virginia K. MacCubbin passed from among us in Santa Rosa on January 1st, 2018 at the age of 89.
Virginia was born on January 9th, 1928 in San Francisco, California to George and Louise Arras. She graduated from Mission High School in 1945 and married Frank MacCubbin in 1947 and raised their two sons. Frank died in 1963 and Virginia began working part time at Faith Lutheran Church in San Rafael. Once her sons were in high school, Virginia began full time work as an administrative assistant in the San Francisco District Attorney's office. She continued working there, rising to head the Administrative division. Virginia then moved to Superior Court where she worked until her retirement in 1990. Virginia relocated from San Rafael to Santa Rosa, spending her time redecorating her new home in the Oakmont community, traveling with close friends, and enjoying her garden.
Virginia is survived by her two sons, Steve and Don MacCubbin, her daughter-in-law's Lisa and Kris, as well as three nieces, Melanie Guyer, Janet DeWitt and Jennifer Fonteno and three nephews, Mark MacCubbin, Jeff Ceresa and Matthew Fonteno.
A Celebration of Virginia's life will be held on Saturday, February 10th 2018 at the Spring Lake Village Chapel in Santa Rosa. The Celebration will begin at 1pm and be followed by a reception. Family and Friends are welcome.
