Bill was the greatest. I was fortunate enough to know him as both a student and coworker. His sense of humor kept everyone on their toes. When I first came back to SC as a VP after working at Wilcox. Bill came into my office and gave me the best advice, " Remember, your IQ didn't increase with your pay raise."
In that job, watching him work with students not always on the right side of the school rules, was where I was able to see his love for his students and pride in Santa Clara High. He is one of the many role models I had in SCUSD.

It was the fall of 98'. Mr. Meyer saw that I had a lot on my plate and made a learning path that alleviated much of that nonsense. He did warn me that courses needed to be made up. But in those courses I met some amazing people and got to spend more time with my bestfriend who would be graduating in spring. Mr. Meyer did his job well and had a glow about him. Thank you for making that path brighter that year, and fostering my own spark.

I´m still numb. Miss talking with Bill several times a day, every day. Such a void in my life. His friendship will be deeply missed. Here he is with one of his many favorite students. She said Bill was the reason she was the first in her family to go to college. A real success story. She was one of the many reasons Bill and I bonded. Rest easy, Bill.

Bill's class at Santa Clara High School (1967-68) was the only thing that got me through. I absolutely adored him! We were instructed to stand and sing 'Edelweiss' when ever an Administrator came into the room. I will never forget him or his class. RIP Bill!
