William O'Mara Obituary

William D. O'Mara Died at home in Santa Rosa Aug. 23, 2007 at the age of 85. He was the loving husband of the late, Patricia Joan O'Mara and Patricia Jean O'Mara. Bill was the beloved father of Lynn O'Mara, Beverly (Mark Uriu) O'Mara, Neal (Cassie) O'Mara and the late Joanne O'Toole, her husband Edward survives. One of seven children Bill is survived by: his sisters Betty Barry and Joan Moynahan; 12 adoring grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and by his close companion Beverly Head. A native of S.F., he graduated from Lowell H.S. After serving in the Navy during WWII he worked 36 years for PG&E, retiring as a line foreman. He lived in Pollock Pines for most of his retirement years before recently moving to Santa Rosa. "The life of the party he will be greatly missed by all." Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass, Monday, Aug. 27, 2007 at 10:30am at St. Eugene's Cathedral, Farmers Lane at Montgomery Dr. Santa Rosa, CA. Visitation will be one hour before the Mass at church. Interment will be at 12:00 noon, Tuesday at Holy Cross Cemetery, receiving chapel. Memorial contributions preferred to Sutter VNA & Hospice 1110 N. Dutton Ave., Santa Rosa, CA. Arrangements by Santa Rosa Mortuary Eggen & Lance Chapel 707-545-3747
