ZENAIDA NUNEZ Obituary

Zenaida Llamas Nunez 5/28/1932 - 4/6/2012 Zenaida Llamas Nunez passed away on Friday April 6 at home surrounded by family and loved ones. She is survived by her children Jose Estrada of Florida, Gonzalo Estrada II of Guadalajara, Mexico, Elia Vasquez and Alicia Heim of Watsonville where she resided, Rosa Imelda Estrada of Sacramento, and her sister Mercedes also of Watsonville. She leaves her grandchildren Liz, Jesus, Mariela, Alejandra, Veronica, Gonzalo, Gabriela, Gonzalo III, Eduardo, and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Gonzalo Estrada Haro and two grandchildren, David Vasquez II and Sasha Vasquez who both died of brain cancer. Zenaida was an extraordinary woman who loved family more than anything. She enjoyed telling stories of humorous events in her life, was a master at crocheting, loved tending to her garden of more than 200 rose bushes, and was very devoted to her Catholic faith. More than anything, she loved the visits from her local great grandchildren David and Marisa Vasquez and Alexander Narvani. She was a great mother, a wonderful grandmother, and an amazing great grandmother who will be extremely missed. Viewing and rosary service was held Thursday at Mehl's Colonial Chapel and funeral service will be at St. Patrick's Church on Friday April 13 at 2:00 followed by the burial at Pajaro Valley Memorial Park in Watsonville.
