Zoila Fischnaler Obituary

Zoila Fischnaler "Ota Mamy" passed away peacefully April 28, 2006, surrounded by her loved ones. She just celebrated her 105 years with all her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandson and numerous loving nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Born in El Salvador April 18, 1901, she came to S.F. in 1944 with her five children aged 4 to 14. Preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Humberto Fischnaler and son, Humberto "Beto" Fischnaler. Survived by her adoring children, Esther and Bob Canales of San Bruno, Helena and Luis Serpas of Belmont, Yolanda Ungo of Campbell, and Zoliluz Suarez of El Salvador, and numerous family and friends here and in El Salvador. Zoila taught us the value of family, friends and love. Her life will be celebrated at a Memorial Mass at Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary at Alameda de las Pulgas and Ralston, Belmont, on Sat., May 6 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to "Maria Goretti Auxiliary", 2610 Coronet, Belmont, CA 94002 to help the needy in her beloved El Salvador.
