Christopher Charles Bade

BADE-Christopher Charles, went to his rest Friday, July 8th at Methodist Hospital of Southern California in Arcadia. Chris was born September 8, 1954 at St. Luke Hospital in Pasadena. He married Diane Burtoft, August 10, 1974. Both have been lifetime residents of this valley. Christopher was a General Contractor in his family's business, Bade Construction, and during his thirty-five-year career built numberous quality custom homes in this cit y and surrounding communities. In 1991 Christopher and his three children were diagnosed with Myotonic Muscular Dystrophy. Since that time he has been active in the Los Angeles Myotonic Dystrophy Association Assistance and Awarness Support Group. Christopher was a member, deacon and commissioned Stephen's minister of the Bethany Church of Sierra Madre. His strong faith has been a benefit to both himself and the community he has served. A memorial service will be held to celebrate Christopher's life on Tues day, July 12 at 4:30 P.M. at Bethany Church. Friends and family are invited. His father, Milton Charles Bade precedes Christopher in death. His wife, Diane C. Bade; his sons Scott C. Bade and Nicholas A. Bade, and his daughter Christine D. Bade survive him. He is also survived by his mother Patricia A. Bade and his sisters, Susan B. Hull and Judith B. Morrison.
