NERISON, Marilyn Anne

Marilyn Anne Nerison of Covina, born April 12, 1948 to William and Anne Spak, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2018 ten days short of her 70th birthday.
She is survived by her son, James H Nerison III.
Marilyn was born in Ohio. Her family moved to California when she was a little girl. She graduated from Covina High School and attended Mt. SAC, where she met James Nerison, whom she married. They moved to Squaw Valley, CA where they raised their son and ran a successful water well pump business. After divorcing, Marilyn eventually moved to West Covina to help her sister Carol care for their widowed elderly mother until she passed away.
Marilyn worked as a paraprofessional educator in special education for many years and retired from Victor Hodge Elementary of Azusa in 2016. She loved her work and took great joy in helping her students find confidence and discover new ways to learn.
Marilyn touched the lives of countless people. Giving encouragement support and validation to everyone around her was central to her very nature.
A memorial service is being held in her honor at Grace Church of Glendora on Saturday, May 5th at 11:00am Messages for Marilyn's family may be left at [email protected]
