Hennen, Barbara A.

Barbara A. Hennen, 79, a resident of Sunny Ridge Health and Rehabilitation Center passed away peacefully there on Thursday evening, December 12, 2013. Her pain has finally ended and she is now at peace.

Barbara was born in Sheboygan on August 11, 1934, a daughter to Dr. E.H. and Lucille (Hirseman) Schutte. She attended Jefferson Elementary School and Central High School. On July 7, 1951 she was united in marriage to Raymond Hennen and together they enjoyed their trips to Las Vegas until his death on October 5, 2005. She had since looked forward to being reunited with him. She had worked for many years at Prange Way and later as a people greeter at Wal-Mart. Barbara loved to bake and cook for her family. She was a very generous person and had unending appreciation for people and the world around her. She enjoyed the art of conversation and could relate a story as no one else could.

Barbara had been a member of First United Lutheran Church.

Barbara is survived by her children, Joe Hennen (Todd Hueppchen, special son to her) of Sheboygan, Mike (Cindy) Hennen of Franklin and Vicki (Art) Larson of Sheboygan; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She is also survived by her favorite dog, Diego "Big D", always enjoying his kisses and visits. Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a grandchild and her brother, Richard Schutte.

A private funeral service for Barbara will be held at the Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas Fleischmann officiating. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery.

Memorials in Barbara's name may be directed to the Sheboygan County Humane Society.

Barbara's family would like to express their deep gratitude and appreciation for the care given by the staff at Sunny Ridge, especially Dana along with the staff of Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. They would also like to thank Dr. Michael Johnson and his P.A., Monica for their care and compassion.

Barbara wishes to express her love for Joe, Todd and good buddy, Diego, for all the support, love and time spent together.

Please don't be sad for Barbara, for she is now in a perfect place and this place contains no pain or tears. Barbara now has a place in heaven with Jesus guiding her every step of the way. Her heart is filled with rejoicing and peace. A joy forever new.

Vicki, Mike and Joe,
I just found out about your Mom today. I am still choked up. I cannot remember my high school and young adult years without remembering her and all of you. She was like a second mother to me during those years and I loved her. I hope that she is currently greeting all of the new Angel recruits at the door and showing them where they can find a nice sweater in the Prange Way section. I will remember her smile, enthusiasm and love of her family always. May you find peace in your memories.

Dear Mike, Vicki, Joe & families,
I loved your mother and will remember her as always smiling! I last saw her at Memorial Hospital in 2012 on one of many trips taking my mother to the ER . While Barbara was there as a patient, she still lit up when we saw each other! Now she is indeed in Heaven, probably visiting with my Mom who passed away last January.
May you all be comforted by God's grace.
