David DeSmith

Johnson City, TX - David DeSmith passed away on Friday March 2, 2018.

David was born on December 24, 1958 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. He and the former Lisa Leider were united in marriage on September 9, 1978.

David was a successful territory manager for several different companies over the years. His love for Christ motivated his work, his marriage, and his life.

Survived by his wife Lisa of Johnson City, Texas, his children: Matthew DeSmith (Brittany Smith) of Manitowoc, Ashley (Eric) Pauls of Green Bay. Grandchidren: Hailey DeSmith, Mattie DeSmith, Dominic DeSmith, Lawton DeSmith, Adalida Freudenreich, and Baby Pauls enroute. Also honorary granddaughter Mackenzie Smith. His brother Jeffrey DeSmith, brothers and sisters in law Robert and Laurie Kilcrece, Mark and Leann Quasius. Very special friend Dan Pearce, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, his parents Eugene and Elizabeth DeSmith, his brother Greg, his sister Debbie, his in laws Harold and Laurel Leider, and his son-in-law Nicholas Freudenreich.

The world lost a gentle soul that day as David has gone on to a new life of everlasting fellowship with Christ.

In loving memory of a wonderful person. I will love you and miss you always.
I remember going to a job site in Chicago, we came off the highway a bit fast and as we are racing towards the stop light, Dave yells out coming in hot!
We laughed for years. I still use that line.

David you will be missed.I remember going to yours and Lisa's wedding it was a beautiful sunny day and Greg took me . I will always remember you and Lisa and your Family. You all will always be in my heart and think of all of you often and the good times we all had together that will always be with me❤
