Eric Goetsch Obituary
Eric P. Goetsch, 24, of Sheboygan, passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2017 at Froedert Hospital in Milwaukee, as a result of hypoplastic left heart syndrome. He was born October 23, 1992 in Sheboygan to Tony and Sandra (Schmeckel) Goetsch. Eric graduated from North High School and was working at RCS.
Having a strong faith, Eric was a member of St. Dominic Parish, he was very active in the church as a server, usher, Sunday School Aid and Bible Camp helper. His love of the outdoors and animals led him to be an active Eagle Scout and a member of 4-H winning several blue ribbons in many areas including ceramics and the cat project. He loved spending time at Lions Camp and Camp Odayin building friendships and creating memories. Eric also enjoyed playing little league, doing word searches, archery, collecting bouncy balls, going to restaurants, finding recipes and making lists.
Eric is survived by his parents Tony and Sandra Goetsch, his grandmother Lucille Goetsch, siblings; Dustin Goetsch, Jesse Goetsch, Crystal (Jamie Zube) Goetsch, and Tracy Goetsch. He is further survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother Kevin, and his grandparents; Willard Goetsch and Carl and Celia Schmeckel.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, April 17, 2017 at 1:30pm at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 2133 N. 22nd St. Sheboygan, with Rev. Phil Reifenberg officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Monday, April 17, 2017 from 10:30 AM until the time of service at the CHURCH.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established in Eric's name.
The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff at Herma Heart Center, Children's Hospital of Wisconsin, and the nurses on 3NW at Froedert Hospital for all their compassion, care and support.

I am so very sorry to read about one of God's Lambs passing.... sincerely praying the promises of our heavenly father continuously comfort you through this unimaginable difficult time and sustain you until you are reunited with your beloved Eric again. Where do I begin? Eric was my little buddy, and I am so saddened by his passing! SO many days Eric would wander down to my room, and in his own quirky ways, would ask for a ride home. S0me days we would beat the bus home and some days we would not..depending on what I had to finish up....but he was always willing to wait :) I loved the conversations we had on those rides..He also would stop over at my house sometimes ..for a lemonade or just to say hi! He was the kindest and sweetest young man I have ever known! Sandy you have been an angel in his life, and we thank you for all you have done for him through all of these medical issues! Eric, I know you are enjoying a pain free life in heaven, and I am sure you have had many conversations with God..has he told you to stop talking yet??? I will miss you my friend..until we meet again, Gods peace to you and your family!!!!

I did not know Eric very well, but I remember always seeing him at cat shows, and how kind he was to talk to, and how good he was with the animals. He would come up to talk to Tristin Potter and I every time we were there. I am so sorry for your loss, and I know that he is with God, and will always be with you all in spirit! Tony and Sandy. Kathy and I were greatly saddened at the news of Eric's passing. As one of his scout leaders I spent many hours with him and found him to personify the best qualities scouting has to off. May God hold you in the palm of his hand during this time.
