Gene P. Krueger

Gene Phillip Krueger, age 41, of Sheboygan, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 in Sheboygan. He was born on February 5, 1973, the son of Phillip and Sandra Reschke Krueger.

Gene attended local schools and graduated from Sheboygan North High School in 1991. He then joined the U.S. Army, serving his country from 1993 to 2009. Gene was assigned to nine deployments in Iraq, served two years in Afghanistan, one year at the 38th parallel in South Korea and three years out of the Pentagon. Gene was also a member of V.F.W. Post 9156 in Sheboygan. He enjoyed scuba diving and hockey.

Survivors include his daughter, RoseAnna Lokker, of Fond du Lac; parents, Phillip and Sandra Krueger; a brother, Larry (Donna) Krueger; two nieces, Jenna and Adrianna, all of Sheboygan; an uncle, James Reschke, of Fond du Lac; and his aunt, Kathleen Grauvogl, of Waupun. Gene was also survived by his best friends, Chad, Dan, and John, a special friend, Steve and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and an uncle, Kenneth Krueger.

A memorial service for Gene will be held on Sunday, July 27, 2014 at 4:00 P.M. at the Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th St., Sheboygan with Chaplain Rick Cawthon, officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 1:30 P.M. until the time of service at 4:00 P.M.. V.F.W. Post 9156 will be providing full military honors.
