James Kreutz Obituary
James W. Kreutz, 76, of Kiel died Sunday morning July 12, 2015 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice with his family at his side. He was born in Sheboygan, son of the late Oswald & Elaine (Weber) Kreutz. Jim attended school in Sheboygan Falls.
Jim had previously worked at Painters Gas Station in Sheboygan Falls, construction for a short time and Tecumseh Products in New Holstein for many years. His greatest passion, however, was to build race engines for many teams especially those who raced at Plymouth. He was well known in racing circles for his knowledge and ability to fix anything.
Jim also enjoyed socializing with his many friends at some of Kiel's finer establishments. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, racing cars and riding his motorcycle.
Survivors include his children; James (Linda) Kreutz, Michael Kreutz, Steve (Colleen) Kreutz, Dave Kreutz, Mark Kreutz all of Sheboygan, Billy Kreutz, Kiel and Kathy Weiand, Sheboygan. Jim is further survived by 11 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, his brother; Thomas (Diane) Kreutz, Sheboygan Falls, sister-in-law; Andrea Kreutz, Elkhart Lake, brother-in-law; Bob Loux, Sheboygan, along with other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter; Constance Herman, a son; Dennis Kreutz, a sister; Patricia Loux, a brother; Gerald Kreutz.
Funeral services for Jim will be held on Thursday July 16, 2015 at 6:00pm at Meiselwitz-Vollstedt Funeral Home (815 6th St. Kiel) with Rev. DuWayne Hanke officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 3:00pm until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in his name.
