Phillip Riley Obituary

Riley, Phillip E.

It is with great sorrow that I have to report that Phillip Eugene Riley, born, February 16, 1938 was unable to recover from a paralyzing stroke suffered in 2011 and passed on April 11, 2016.

Phillip grew up in the Wausau area and attended U.W. Madison before joining the U.S. Army. After his Honorable Discharge he went to U.W. Milwaukee and then worked for A.C. Sparkplug in the purchasing division. He continued his career as a purchasing agent and verified project prints as estimator for Grunau Company and at Advance Mechanical Contractors where he completed work on the Miller Park Stadium. He was a member of the Oak Creek Chamber of Commerce and the Jaycees. Phil was the Scoutmaster for B.S.A. troop 851 at St. John the Baptist Catholic church in Plymouth and also a N.R.A. firearms instructor, a Mason and a member of the Moose Lodge. A true outdoorsman... he enjoyed hunting, fishing, hiking, camping and had planned to spend his retirement doing those things in Park Falls. Phillip had two sons, Terrence Riley and Michael Riley, one grandson, Johnathan Riley, all of Sheboygan and one adopted daughter Rachael Federlin , Milwaukee. He is also survived by his three sisters: Mary Riley Kennedy,Baltimore, MD, Barbara Riley Rygiel, Naples, FL and Susanne Riley Llibre, Merritt Island, FL along with many cousins, nieces and nephews all of which will miss his roaring chuckle, love of music, art, nature and his respectful presence. He will be laid to rest next to his parents Eugene and Louise Riley at the family plot.
