Ray was born March 11, 1938 in Sheboygan, the son of Raymond Quasius Sr and Lorett (Maratic) Quasius. He graduated from Sheboygan North High School in 1956, and then furthered his education at Lakeland College. He later then finalized his education at Marquette University and earned his Bachelor's in Civil Engineering with a Certification from the State of Wisconsin. After graduation, Ray worked with his Father (Ray Sr) and Uncle Leslie at Quasius Bros. Construction and eventually served as the President. He later on retired in January of 1994.

Ray enjoyed many years of hunting, fishing, and boating with his friends and family. He loved spending his summers at the cottage on Cedar Lake where he enjoyed many pontoon boat rides, tubing with his grandkids, and being apart of the local boat parade. During the winter months, he spent his time in Fort Myers Beach where we enjoyed biking, playing bridge, and sitting on the lanai watching the boats and sunsets.

He is further survived by his two granddaughters Courtney and Abbey Quasius, and three grandsons Brandon and Joshua Batzel and Addison Homs. "When I must leave you for a little while - Please do not grieve and shed wild tears and hug your sorrow to you through the years, but start out bravely with a gallant smile; and for my sake and for my name live on and do all things the same, feed not your loneliness on empty days, but fill each waking hour in useful ways, reach out your hand in comfort and in cheer and I in turn will comfort you and hold you near; and never, never be afraid to die for I am waiting for you in the sky!"

I have known Mickey or Ray as most of you know him for 70 years going way back to when we were at Sheboygan 's old North H.S.. Mickey was also my brother n law for over 22 years and I did get to visit him at his condo in Fort Meyers Beach. We did go fishing that day along with his daughter Heather that was a long time ago. He will be missed by all that knew him and our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Quasius Family.

Ray was a neighbor and friend in Fort Myers Beach, FL. He was always so caring and ready to help at functions (including heading up the famous Sheboygan brat fry at our condo complex). And, would volunteer his time and talents in all endeavors (even to build a work bench in my storage room!). As his children know, he loved to enjoy the end of the day sunset on his incredible lanais - facing the marina - and watching the coming of the evening with a mushroom ladened refreshment! And, with the background music of the likes of Neil Diamond....oh, you will be so missed....God Bless you, Ray and welcome us, as we follow!
