You will not recognize my name, but I am someone who knew Ron when he was a little boy. His dad worked for Weyenberg Farms and they lived in Mequon, WI. Our mothers were close friends, and his sister, Marlys, and I played together all the time. We loved to "dress up." We went to Maple View, a one room school on the corner of Donges Bay and County Line Roads. Miss O'Keefe was our teacher, and then Mrs. Yahr. Ron and Marlys had a little bulldog. I also remember that Ron put ketchup on scrambled eggs. Marlys and I kept in touch for few years after they moved to Oostburg. This is an odd note, I am sure, but I thought you might find it interesting after all this time. You have my sympathy. I remember how much family meant to the Rauwerdink family.

To the family of Ron,
Your husband and father will always have a place in my life. When I first started at Kohler in 1976, Ron always had a tender heart and would lend a hand to help and learn the job at task. I first work with Ron and Wayne down in the basement on what was called the barber green sand system, then in later years again in the core room. Your dad retired and I took over his job on a core machine and ended up getting squashed in the machine. After that I got to see your Dad at the Sports Core--he always had a smile and a kind word, Ron will be missed by all. God bless you all in this sad time of life and may the Lord be your strength.

Harriet, Glen, Jack, Lynn and family members,
My deepest sympathy for the loss of your husband and father. I was lucky enough to know Ron. He was an outstanding person and a great sports fan. I might not be able to get to the visitation due to a commitment I can not get out of, but I want you to know that my thought and prayers are with you all as you go through your time of grieving.
God Bless,
Greg Emerson

Always remember Ron for being the good guy he was, hard working, sports enthusiast, humorous, and family orientated. Condolence to Harriet & family for your loss. He will be missed @ the Sports Core.
