Jeffrey H. Williams, 68, a resident of Rush County, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2024, at home.
Jeff was born May 5, 1956, in Shelbyville, to Harlan and Jessie (Abel) Williams. He was a graduate of Morristown High School. He married Connie K. Pogue on Sept. 23, 1978. They have three children, Craig M. Williams, Kyle D. Williams and Courtney (Williams) Hankins.
Jeff owned and operated Williams Construction for approximately 40 years. He was a member of the Little Flat Rock Christian Church, where he had served as a deacon and an Elder. He was a past member of New Salem Lions Club, and in his younger days he was a 10 year 4-H member.
In addition to his wife, Connie, he is survived by his son, Kyle (Rachel) Williams of Connersville, daughter, Courtney (Jonathan) Hankins of Connersville, his five precious grandchildren, Bret Hankins, Mackenzie Williams, Abigail Williams, Brianna Hankins and Jennifer Williams all of Connersville, three brothers, Don Williams, Ted (Annie) Williams and Tom Williams, all of Shelbyville, two sisters, Susan Williams of Shelbyville and Jan (Dave) Herzberg of Raleigh, NC., mother-in-law, Anita Pogue of Glenwood, sister-in-law, Shari (Billy) Briscoe, and brother-in-law, Steve (Joannie) Pogue of Rushville as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law, Bill Pogue, and son, Craig M. Williams.
Services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 4 at the Little Flat Rock Christian Church, 2471 S 450 E, Rushville. Friends are welcome to visit from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Burial will be held at the Little Flat Rock Church Cemetery.
