Martha J. Kilgore Jones, 85 of Rushville, passed away on February 9, 2022 in Rushville. She was born on December 24, 1936 in Shelby County, IN to the late Clarence Elmer and Lucy Ellen (Farmer) Kilgore. Martha married John P. Jones on August 1, 1953 and he preceded her in death on December 16, 1996. She worked at Freudenberg-NOK in Morristown for several years as an inspector. Martha was a member of First Baptist Church in Rushville. She enjoyed traveling and playing cards in the Euchre Club.
Martha is survived by her son, Robert (Bob) (Kathy) Jones of Indianapolis and daughter Barbara E. Jones Peterson of Rushville; sisters, Mary (Herman) Ellen Otjen of Indianapolis, Barbara Kent of IL, Carolyn Sue Jones of Indianapolis and Freda A. Linville of Indianapolis. She will also be missed by her 5 grandchildren, Tasha Jones, Desmond Jones, Lennon (Jennifer Nichols) Jones, Andrew Peterson and Sarah Durham and 4 great-grandchildren.
Martha is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Ronald (Ron) Jones; brothers, Kenneth, Phillip, Donald, Willis, and Edwin Kilgore; sisters, Judith (Judy) Maude Sedam and Joan Price.
Services will be held on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at 11:30 AM in Moster Mortuary, with Pastor John Wall presiding. Friends are welcome to visit the family from 4PM- 7PM on Monday evening. Burial will be held in East Hill Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association.

Bob, I will always remember your mom opening up her home and refrigerator to all of us guys whenever we were there to hang out. She was a good soul!
