Michael Wayne Newbold, 65, of Lexington, Missouri, passed away Sunday, June 22, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
A Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Friday, June 27, at Lexington United Methodist Church, 1211 S. Business Hwy 13, Lexington, Missouri. A memorial service will follow at 1 p.m. at the church. Memories of Michael and condolences may be left at www.Ledford FamilyFH.com. Michael was born on Nov. 22, 1959, in Shelbyville, to Charles R. and Evelyn M. (Runshe) Newbold. He graduated from Waldron High School, Waldron. Michael worked many years for Libbey-Owens Ford Company as a supervisor. On Aug. 14, 2020, Michael was united in marriage to Beverly June (Ayers) Newbold in North Kansas City, Missouri. His true passion in life revolved around family and friends. Michael enjoyed traveling, fishing and all things sports. An ardent sports enthusiast, Michael was especially devoted to his Indiana Pacers. He loved attending a variety of sporting events, from cheering on the Kansas City Royals in baseball to celebrating goals at Mavericks hockey games.
Michael is survived by his loving wife, Beverly June Newbold of the home, three children, Charity (Donald) Griffin of Wellington, MO, Bryan (Bobbi Sue Owens-Newbold) Newbold of Cheyanne, WY, and Nathaniel (Brenda) Newbold of Shelbyville, IN; thirteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four sisters, Susie (Bobby) Nickles of Shelbyville, IN, Ruth (Wilbur) Icenogle of Shelbyville, IN, Pamela (John) Smith of St. Paul, IN, and Patricia (Donnie) Gross of Shirley, IN; one sister-in-law, Donna Newbold, Waldron, IN; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Along with both his parents, Michael was preceded in death by a brother, William R. Newbold.

My condolences to the family. Mike was a friend to me when I needed that extra shoulder to lean on after my move back to Indiana where I didn't know very many people, he was there to talk to. I thank him for that. We lost touch after he moved to Missouri and as I moved back to Indiana. I'd hoped he knew how thankful I was for his friendship. Rest in Peace Mike.
