Richard Graves, 86, of Shelbyville, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2022 in his home.
He was born Dec. 21, 1935, in Seymour, to Howard R. Graves and Emma Gladys (Coffman) Graves.
Richard was employed at General Electric for 42 years and retired from Wellmans in 1998. He enjoyed golfing with his wife. He also loved watching all sports on the television.
Richard married Patricia (Kendall) Graves, on June 6, 1975 and she survives. Other survivors include his daughter, Cindy Riggs, son, Kevin Graves (Beverly), step-daughter, Brenda Hendricks (John), step-daughter, Vickey Garland (Terry), step-son, Donnie Cobler, step-son, Andy Lautenbach (Cindi) along with nine grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Richard was preceded in death by his sister, two brothers, and one grandchild.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Friday, April 29 at Murphy Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison St.
Funeral services will follow at 12 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Mark Bartlett officiating.
Burial will be in Second Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
