David Rupprecht Obituary
Born in Newark, NJ, he graduated from Bucknell University and later served in the US Army. After college Dave married Connie and they remained in a loving marriage for 51 years.
Dave was an investment broker and retired as Senior Vice President and Branch Manager of Wells Fargo Advisors in 2015. He spent his retirement traveling and playing golf. He was very thankful to have so many dear friends.
Dave is survived by his wife Connie, his two sons Jeff and Alex, Holli Wilson, and his brother Pete.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 21, 2020 at 2:00pm at Central United Methodist Church in Shelby, NC with Rev. Dr. Mark Barden, officiating. A reception will follow in the fellowship hall.
In lieu of flowers please make donations in his kind to The Children's Home Society of NC (PO Box 14608, Greensboro, NC 27415)
or The American Cancer Society (PO Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123).
Arrangements will be announced by Cecil Burton Funeral Home and Crematory.

I'll always know Dave as the "Mighty Atom." A classmate and four-year roommate at Bucknell, Dave and I had some fun, as dazed freshmen and then fraternity brothers at Kappa Sigma. Later, he was the best man at my wedding. After a few years of sporadic contact, we drifted apart, taking up residence in different parts of the country, and lost contact altogether. If anyone is keeping score, I've always regretted this, but I have those fond memories of our times together as young men. Best to you, Connie, and your family. Rest in peace, mighty atom.

Very sorry to hear this. Have not seen Dave for many years. We spent some time together in HS; the crew from Blaine St., Dave, Don and Billy. Many hours spent in the athletic field across the street from our homes. Dave's father and my father were two of the founders of the Millburn Little League. Dave played for Kiwanis and I played for Item. My condolences to the family, and may he rest in peace. Ernie Brita

Connie, Jeff and Ali, I was so sad to hear that Dave passed away. Working with him for so many years and going through cancer at the same time, lead to many conversations about "fighting the fight!" He was a true 'fighter' and friend and will be missed!

Dave was one of my favorite people..... As my hiring manager, he was a mentor to me here at Wells Fargo Advisors. I will especially miss him calling me "kiddo". Rest in Peace, Dave ! We will miss you!
