David Wilson Obituary
SHELBY – A loving father, husband, brother and friend, David Edward Wilson, passed away on December 29, 2016 at the age of 47. david was born March 6, 1969, in Shelby, to Sam Wilson and Lynn Lackey.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 1, 2017 from at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory.
Funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 2, 2017, at Lafayette Street United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Zion Baptist Church.

My condolence goes out to the entire family of David. I always have a smile come to my face when thinking of some of the times David and Jimmy would come in Shelby Music and will treasure them all. I know that David will be missed but he is now free to run, sing and be free of the chains that held him. He was a good man who had a wonderful family. With the support of his family he was able to help many others who were facing challenges. He was loved and admired by many people.
