Don Yeargin Obituary
GAFFNEY, S.C.-Donald Richard Yeargin, 76, of 175 Oak Ridge Road, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 9, 2016, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Born in Gaffney, he was the husband of Betty Bloomer Yeargin and son of the late Harry William Yeargin and Roseline Thomas Yeargin. He was a graduate of Gaffney High School, retired from American Fast Print, and was of the Mormon faith. He loved fishing, NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt, and was a former Little League baseball coach.
Surviving in addition to his wife are four sons, Roger Yeargin and wife, Cindy, of Shelby, Tommy Yeargin of Edisto Island, Stanley "Dickie" Yeargin and Don Yeargin and fiancé, Christina, both of Gaffney; two daughters, Tina Carter and husband, Larry, of Rock Hill, and Tracy McCraw and husband, Lynn, of Gaffney; a brother, Alvin Yeargin and wife, Alice, of Jacksonville, Fla.; a sister-in-law, Jackie Yeargin of Gaffney; 14 grandchildren, Roger Yeargin, Elizabeth Yeargin, Casey Yeargin, Rey Yeargin, Caroline Yeargin, Tommy Yeargin, Brett McBee and husband, D.J., Stanley Yeargin, Kaylie Yeargin, "Little Don" Yeargin, Addisynn Yeargin, Melissa Fulcher, David Carter and Tanner McCraw; six great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Tommy Yeargin and Bruce Yeargin and a sister, Rosenelle Yeargin.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., on Thursday, May 12, 2016, at Oakland Cemetery.
The family will be at the residence, 175 Oak Ridge Road, Gaffney.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels, P.O. Box 1886, Gaffney, SC 29342 or Cherokee County Humane Society, P.O. Box 2223, Gaffney, SC 29342.
