Dwight Stroud Obituary

JUNE 30, 1966 - MARCH 26, 2010
SHELBY - Mr. Dwight Delane Stroud Sr., 43, of 604 Northern Street, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 26, 2010, at home.
He was born June 30, 1966, in his family home of his living parents, Mr. Thomas and Ella Mae Robinson Stroud. He was a graduate of East Rutherford High School in Forest city of 1984. Dwight worked at Jenkins Foods until he became ill.
Dwight was preceded in death by his daughter, Traci Danielle Stroud; grandson, Demeteris Xavier Stroud; grandmothers, Ella Bell Robinson and Lena Elder Stroud; and grandfathers, Iverson Stroud and James "Jim" Robinson.
Dwight is survived by his two sons, Dwight Stroud Jr. of the home and Iverson Stroud of Shelby; one daughter, Shauntashia Stroud of Shelby; four sisters, Ella Veronica McClain (Terry) of Shelby, Billie Gene Robinson (Terry) of Ellenboro, Sherry Marie Stroud (Anthony) of Shelby and Natasha Raquel Russell; five brothers, Marvin Thomas Stroud (Mattie), James Carl Russell (Anita), Tony Patrick Stroud (Patricia), Brian Keith Russell and Marcus Leon Russell Sr. (Colorese); a host of nieces and nephews; one special, Aunt Lena Pound; and two special friends, Willie Mae Hopper and Lynn Webb.
Funeral: Saturday, April 3, 2 p.m., White Oak Springs Baptist Church
Officiated by: Pastor Gene Pryor
Visitation: The family will receive friends 30 minutes before the service, at the church.
Burial: White Oak Springs Baptist Church Cemetery
Funeral home: Genesis Funeral Service
