Elizabeth Warlick Obituary
SHELBY-Elizabeth Gault Warlick, age 101, died Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at Oakland Living Center in Rutherfordton.
The family will receive friends an hour before the service from 2 until 3 p.m., at the funeral home.
Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m., on Sunday, April 17, 2016, in the chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory.
Burial will follow at Sunset Cemetery.

It was an honor to know such a special lady, who loved her livermush and rocking on the side porch for hours at a time. She will truly be missed. Bob,Phil, Jane and family may you find peace in the many memories shared about about your Mother.

Marian and I will have Lib in our prayers. May God take her into his loving arms. As we move through the coastal waters of North Carolina we will watch the beautiful sun sets and consider the memorable life of a sweet lady, Lib.

I have many fond memories of Lib and her family at the house on Peach Street. She was always warm an welcoming and I always felt at home with the Warlicks. I remember her passion for squaredancing and those all-night gospel sings. A great lady. Thinking of you all, Bob, Phil, Jane and the family in general. Joe DePriest

"LIB" WAS A LONGTIME FRIEND FROM OUR SQUARE-DANCING DAYS IN THE 40's. SHE WAS ALSO A FAITHFUL and DEDICATED VOLUNTEER AT THE LEONA SMITH NEAL SENIOR CENTER IN SHELBY FOR OVER 20 YEARS.SHE WAS EASY-GOING AND FRIENDLY WITH EVERYONE. SHE WILL BE MISSED BY THOSE WHO KNEW AND LOVED HER. SINCERE CONDOLENCES ARE EXTENDED TO HER FAMILY.

Spent many hours in my younger days visiting the Warlick house. Bob, Lib's son, was one of my best friends. This lady was always most gracious and made me, and all Bob's other friends, feel so welcome. Almost considered her my "second mom." Special thoughts and prayers go out to Bob, Phil, and Jane and all other
family members as they deal with the loss of this special lady.
