Exie Upchurch Obituary
Born in Gaffney, S.C., Ms. Upchurch was the daughter of the late Ben and Vicie Parker Upchurch. Ms. Upchurch worked for Wendell Fabrics for 47 years, was very active in the Democratic Party and was a member of the Blacksburg Church of God.
Ms. Upchurch is survived by a special friend, Vivian Martin of the home; a brother, Floyd Upchurch of Gaffney; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Upchurch was preceded in death by a brother, Hoyt Upchurch; and a sister, Ruby Gaffney.
Visitation: The family will receive friends Saturday, Feb. 28, 6 to 7:30 p.m., at Gordon Mortuary and other times the family will be at the home.
Funeral: Sunday, Mar. 1, 2 p.m., Blacksburg Church of God
Entombment: Clingman Memorial Gardens
Officiated by: The Revs. James Clark and Willie Lanier and Mr. Curley Lanier
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, Blacksburg Church of God, PO Box 631, Blacksburg, SC 29702
