Gary Russ Obituary

CLAYTON - Mr. Gary Ancon Russ, 52, of 2219 C Hwy 42 West, died Monday, July 27, 2009.
He served as Staff Sergeant, Tank Commander in the Army at Ft. Knox, Ky. and at Gelnhausen, Germany.
He is survived by his daughter, Angela Russ of Holly Springs and her mother, T.J. Russ of Raleigh; father, Abel Ancon Russ of Clayton; sisters, Phyllis Russ Cannady of Raleigh and Patricia Russ Thompson and her husband, David, of Shelby; brother, William A. Russ of Coats; girlfriend, Marie Bass and her grandson, Daniel Robins of the home; nephew, Russ M. Thompson; and nieces, Kelli Wall and Casey Pope.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Gracie Griffin Russ.
Funeral: Friday, July 31, New Bethel Baptist Church in Garner
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, The National Veteran's Freedom Park, 120 Towerview Court, Cary, NC 27511
