Ina Lorenz Obituary
Dallas - Ina Carolyn Morehead Lorenz died Feb. 20, 2021, at Faith Presbyterian Hospice in Dallas, Texas.
Carolyn was born Feb. 26, 1932, in Cleveland County, North Carolina, to Dwight and Aurelia Bridges Morehead. She graduated from Mooresboro High school in 1950. She married Don Lorenz in Texas on Feb. 1, 1956. They raised their family in Irving, Texas and were members of St. Marks Episcopal Church in Irving.
She enjoyed a full life in Texas with her family; while treasuring her North Carolina home and family - with her in spirit through the end.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters Marion Graham, Nell Chatham, and Nina Stahl; her brother Hugh Morehead; and nephews Alan Dean Graham and George Chatham.
She is survived by her daughters and husbands, Leslie (Dale) Gibson, and Marion (Roy) Wadsworth; son Alex (Elaine) Lorenz; granddaughters, grandsons and a great-grandson; nieces Christina Chatham Cross, Carolyn Bridges Parrish, and Susan Stahl Crumpton; nephews Geoff Chatham and Scott Graham as well as great nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at May 22, at St. Marks, during which her ashes will be interred with her husband's in the columbarium. Donations in her honor may be made to St. Marks Irving.
Rolling Oaks Funeral Home handled the cremation.
