JACKIE BRUNER

HILDEBRAN-Jackie Johnson Bruner, 78, of Hildebran, went to be with her heavenly Father Thursday, March 17, 2016, at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston Salem.
Born Sept. 7, 1937, in Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd Johnson and Brunie Hunt Johnson.

Jackie was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and had retired from Shuford Mills. She loved her family especially her two great-grandchildren and she enjoyed gardening.
In additional to her parents she was preceded in death by four brothers, Blaine Johnson, Glenn Johnson, Bob Johnson, Paul Johnson and one sister, Diane Ekard.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Bobby Lee Bruner of the home; daughter, Angela Decker and husband Chris of Hildebran; son, Roger Bruner and wife Rachel of Hildebran; grandson, Christopher Decker and wife Tab of George Hildebran; granddaughter, Emily White and husband Jeff of Hiddenite; great-grandchildren, Luke Decker of George Hildebran, Aleigha White of Hiddenite; and two sisters, Irene Luckadoo and husband Eugene, and Linda Proctor and husband Danny; four sister-in-law's: Rachel Johnson, Betty Lee Johnson, Joan Johnson and Myra Faye White; and a brother-in-law, Tommy Ekard.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2 until 3 p.m., at the church.

The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m., on Sunday, March 20, 2016, at Liberty Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor Gene Gouge, Pastor Christopher Decker and Chris Decker.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
