Jackie Robinson Obituary
SHELBY- Jackie "Jack" Robinson, age 87, died Monday December 21, 2020. Born in Jefferson Alabama, he was the son of the late Jim and Emma Fambrough Robinson. Jack was an active member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church. He graduated from Louisiana Tech University with a degree in electrical engineering. He enjoyed playing golf, duck hunting, fishing, wood carving and watercolors. In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years Ann Rector Robinson and two brothers Paul Robinson and Jim Robinson.
Jack is survived by a daughter, Pat Birchfield and husband Scott of Greensboro; a son Jim Robinson and wife Joy of Shelby; four grandchildren, Will Birchfield, Jonathan Robinson and wife Ansley, Julia Robinson and Jamie Robinson and wife Amy; great granddaughter, Loretta Robinson and many other loving family members.
Due to current health concerns, the family has requested services be held privately.
Memorials can be made to: Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 1207 West Dixon Blvd, Shelby, NC 28152 or Hospice of Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Dr, Shelby, NC 28150.

May the blessing of God’s peace and comfort surround you and protect you today and always. Uncle Jack was an amazing man with a great sense of humor and a huge laugh. He always made me feel so welcome and was like a second father to me after my Dad passed away. I loved him and will miss him so very much.
