JoAnn Surber Obituary
KINGS MOUNTAIN-JoAnn Surber, age 75, of Kings Mountain, passed away on Aug. 14, 2016, at Carolinas HealthCare System-Cleveland, Shelby.
She was born in Mecklenburg County, N.C., to the late Leroy Courtney and Margaret Courtney.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at Harris Funeral Home, Kings Mountain.
Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2016, at Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel.

Grandma, Heaven has truly gained another Angel. I don't even know where to start. You are gone to soon. All the love & memories we shared are very special to me. Not only my grandma but my Mom as well. The bond a grandmother & granddaughter have is nothing anyone can take away. I believe grandmothers were given to us to show & teach us what true unconditional love is all about. I am missing you dearly. JoAnn will always be in my heart. We shared so much together as we visited each other. Love, laughter and good food was always served at her and Jim's home. Although Len and Jim are kin, JoAnn and I called each Sister. JoAnn, you were so admired and loved. I will forever miss you.

My Mother, Jean Surber, and I thought the world of Joann. So much fun to be around, and so many talents made Joann a wonderful lady to know. She will be missed by all who loved and cared for her. I am honored to have known JoAnn.
