KINGS MOUNTAIN - Mrs. Lillie Mae Willis Lee, 88, went to be with her Lord and heavenly family on Sunday, Jan. 18, 2009, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law.
A native of Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late Edny Willis and Mary Elizabeth Wright Willis. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church in Kings Mountain. Mrs. Lee was a graduate of both Belwood High School and Brevard College. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, homemaker, church and cafeteria worker, as well as a traveler with The Cookies.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thad Lee; son, Bryan Lee; brothers, Carl, Wilson, Lee and Paul Willis; and sister, Mary Agnes Lattimore.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Allen Dixon of Kings Mountain; son and daughter-in-law, Michael Lee and Doris of Apopka, Fla.; daughter-in-law, Jan McAllister of Boiling Springs, S.C.; brother, Dickson Willis of West Virginia; grandchildren, Kim Dixon Wease and husband, Tommy, of Shelby, Kevin Dixon of Durham, Christy Dixon of Chapel Hill, Gina Lee of Boiling Springs, S.C., and Chris Lee of Apopka; and great-grandsons, Brett and Brady Wease, both of Shelby.
Funeral: Wednesday, Jan. 21, 11 a.m., Palm Tree United Methodist Church, Lawndale
Visitation: The family will receive friends one hour before the service, in the church sanctuary and other times at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, 117 Phifer Circle, Kings Mountain.
Interment: Palm Tree United Methodist Church Cemetery
