Mark Walker Obituary

FOREST CITY - Mark Dwayne Walker, 50, of Pointer Road, Forest City, passed away Friday, Oct. 26, 2012 at his residence.A native of Rutherford County, he was born on July 11, 1962, a son of the late Alvin Kellon Walker and Geretha Mae Holtsclaw Walker of Caroleen. He was a member of West Point Baptist Church and worked as a spinner at Galey and Lord. He loved wrestling, football, family get-togethers and racing. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, David Lee Walker.He is survived by his wife, Melinda Sims Walker; two sisters Cathy Walker Hamilton and fiancé Jimmy Hardin of Cliffside and Patricia Toney and husband Horace of Shelby; two step-children, Patrick and Sabrina; numerous nieces and nephews; special aunts Linda Terry and Carolyn Greene.

Visitation: The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. today before the serviceMemorial Service: 3 p.m. today at the A.C.
