Ray Flack Obituary

KINGSTOWN - Mr. Ray Thomas Flack, 89, of 1826 Quail Run Drive, died Saturday, Aug. 22, 2009, at White Oak Manor in Kings Mountain.
He was born in Cleveland County, Sept. 18, 1919, to the late Jim and Minnie Burchette Flack. Ray retired from PPG Industries where he was employed for 24 years. He was a former member of Eskridge Grove Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Ray Flack Jr. and John L. Flack; a daughter, Kathy Brown; four brothers, John Flack, Fletcher Flack, Raymon Flack and Jack Flack; and four sisters, Ruth Dawkins, Vastine Ramseur, Gerald Whitworth and Edith Dillard.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lee Reid Flack; six sons, James Flack (Helen) and Charles Flack (Charkiela), both of Kingstown, Calvin Flack (Deborah), Leonard Flack (Jamette)and Alvin Flack (Martha), all of Shelby and Robert Flack of Kings Mountain; four daughters, Cora Miller (Gene), Ruthie Clark, Minnie Lawrence (Eugene) and Ernestine McCluney (John), all of Shelby; a special nephew, Calvin Flack; two daughters-in-law, Sarah Flack and Debbie Reid D. Flack; and 29 grandchildren.
Funeral: Thursday, Aug. 27, 2 p.m., Palmer Grove Baptist Church
Visitation: The family will receive friends 30 minutes before the service, at the church. The family will be at the home of his son, James, 1804 Quail Run Drive, Kingstown.
