Sadie Deaton Obituary
A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Alonzo and Rivie McSwain Ledford.
She retired from PPG, and was a member of Ledford Grove Baptist Church. She was an avid lover of cats.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Raymond Deaton; daughter, Rebecca Deaton; brother, Newell Ledford; and sister, Elaine Smith
She is survived by her son, Randy Deaton of Earl; daughter, Myra Kirkendall and husband Mark of Shelby; grandchildren, Tiffany Thomlinson, Nick Deaton, Heather Kirkendall Downs, Jessica Kirkendall, and Kandace Smart; great-grandchildren, Matthew, Sarah, Phylis, Trevor, Zoey, Zachary, Austin, and Dixie
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, 2018, at Ledford Grove Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, at the church. The Rev. Jackie Price will officiate.
Memorials may be made to Ledford Grove Baptist Church, PO Box 336, Lawndale, NC 28090.
Arrangements are entrusted to Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Shelby.

Nannie it doesn´t seem real you have been gone 5yrs. I miss you so much and not a day goes by that I don´t think of you. Would love to have a chicken pie! Mine never turns out like yours. Miss you so much!!!! Love you.

I'm setting here in tears now I know her funeral is going on now I didn't know in time to ask off for work but my thoughts and prayers are with yall hope the flower was pretty I sent .We had great times together at work home and trips I could write a book of the times we had together will I know she in Heaven now we will see her again I will never forget her and I always Love Her.
