Scott Royster Obituary
He was born on June 9, 1951, in Cleveland County, to the late Thomas Sherwin Royster and Pauline Smith Royster. He was retired from Parker Farm Service where he sold heavy equipment. He was a member of Fallston Baptist Church and loved to play and listen to guitar music. Scott also loved and cherished his grandchildren, as well as enjoying the company of friends and neighbors.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Sandy Brown.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Sherry Champion Royster; son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Brittnay Royster of Fallston; daughter and son-in-law, Lesley and Brad Bumgardner of Fallston; four grandchildren, Rosemary and Lydia Bumgardner and Lillyan and Keegan Royster; and two sisters and brother-in-law, Patricia Brown of Mt. Ulla and Wynde and Lan Brady of Greensboro.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Stamey Funeral Home.
Funeral service: 2 p.m. Thursday at Fallston Baptist Church. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes before the service.
Officiated by: The Rev. David Blanton and Dr. Tim Elmore The burial will follow in the Rose Hill Memorial Park.
Funeral home: Stamey Funeral Home of Fallston is serving the family.
