Victor Smith Obituary
At a young age, the Smith family relocated to North Carolina where Victor attended school and graduated from Burns High School in 1981. Victor loved sports and was a member of the football and wrestling teams.
Victor was employed with B.P. Careeder Trucking of Forest City, for more than ten years. He was also employed with Cardinal Trucking of Concord for many years.
Victor will be remembered for being a very lovable and caring person.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Smith and a nephew, Tawarren Mitchell.
He is survived by his mother, Maggie Leslie Smith of Lawndale; a son, Andrew Lawrence of Shelby; a brother, Tim Smith of Grover; a sister, Suzanne Smith of Charlotte; six grandchildren; his maternal grandmother, Odessa Leslie of Lawndale; a special nephew, O'Brian Smith of Atlanta, Ga.; a special friend, Patricia Sims of Shelby; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
The family would like to thank Pastor Robert Coleman and the Hoppers Chapel Baptist Church family, doctors and nurses of Cleveland Regional Medical Center, Cleco Medical Center, the Gastroenterology Associates and Ms. Patricia "Ann Bug" Smith.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. at the church
Funeral Service: 3 p.m. Saturday at Hoppers Chapel Baptist Church
Officiated By: The Rev. Robert Coleman officiating
Burial: Sunset Cemetery
Funeral Home: Enloe Mortuary is serving the family
