Gail Childs Obituary
Funeral services will be held in Mount Pleasant, Michigan at 3 p.m. Monday, October 21, 2024, at Clark Family Funeral Chapel with Pastor Art Childs, officiating.
A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held in Pueblo, Colo on at 9 a.m. Saturday, September 7, 2024 at Pueblo Pizza Ranch with Pastor Jim Murray officiating.
Gail was born in Mt. Pleasant, Mich., to Leo Joslin and Ruth Rassat on May 16, 1936. She married Gerald Childs on Aug. 31, 1957, in Mt. Pleasant, Mich. She and her husband owned and operated the Gaylord Motor Inn in Gaylord, Mich.
She was a realtor in Ludington, Mich., and later part-owner of Pizza Ranch in Pueblo, Colo.
She was a follower of Jesus Christ, and served in a variety of ministry positions.
Gail is survived by her children, Jay Childs and his wife, Becky of Woodstock, Ill.; Arthur Childs and his wife, Debbie of Virginia Beach, Va; Bambi Grady and her husband, Glen of Pueblo West, Colo.; Kelli Vallans and her husband, Ryon of Jakarta, Indonesia; her sister, Sue (Joslin) Kullman; and 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
The family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation to the Hospitality Ministry, First Church of the Nazarene of Pueblo, Colo.
