James "Griff" Victor Griffin, Sr., 74, passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2020 in Grand Rapids, Mich. He was born April 25, 1946 in Adrian, Mich. to Gerald and Elizabeth (Kidd) Griffin and was currently residing in Hart, Mich. Jim graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1965. He worked for GTE/Verizon as a supervisor for 33 years prior to his retirement in 1997. Jim was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 3666 in Fruitport. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards and going to the casino, but most importantly, he loved spending time with family and friends. Survivors include two children, Cinde Elston and James Victor (Bonnie) Griffin, Jr.; four grandchildren, Robert Elston, Aleia (Jordan) Weekley, Brianna and Landon Griffin; and a sister, Linda Liski. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Cameron Griffin; and a sister, Chari Meyer. A graveside service for Jim will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8 at Pine Hill Cemetery in Fruitport, Mich.
