John was simply the best. I always remember his kind heart, that he was always there offering to help where needed, and he spoke well of everyone, never sharing anything negative. He lifted us all up.

My sincerest and deepest condolences to John's family and loved ones. I'm so sorry for your loss and I hope you are able to find comfort in the knowledge that John's life was so full of love and kindness.

John was my manager and mentor in my first major job out of college. I learned so much from him about how I wanted to conduct myself in my career and how I wanted to use any position I held to do the most good I possibly could. He was funny, inquisitive, supportive, and unfailingly compassionate. So many people talk about their first career steps being a hard learning experience but I was so fortunate to have him cheering me on and giving me the courage and confidence to continue to grow. I know so many others probably have similar stories about John because, at his core, he deeply cared and demonstrated that care through his actions. He was a good man and he will be sorely missed.

John was a dear friend and mentor with whom I shared many experiences and good times. We worked together, learned together, and enjoyed many occasions and life experiences together with friends and colleagues. He is beloved in all the communities which he is a part of and will be missed dearly. I would like to extend my condolences to all of John's family and friends.

A remembrance celebration will be held on the campus of the University of Denver in the Community Commons Grand Forum on Thursday, October 13 from 3pm-4pm to celebrate the life and service of our beloved friend. If you are unable to attend and would like to share any of your personal remembrances of John, please contact me at [email protected].
