PLAIN DEALING, LA - Funeral services for Mrs. Arline Slack Hamiter, age 89, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, February 9, 2013, at the Oak Grove Assembly of God with Rev. Andy Harris and Rev. Lewis Jackson, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Hamiter Cemetery, under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Plain Dealing, LA.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday at Bailey Funeral Home in Plain Dealing.

Mrs. Hamiter was born on June 8, 1923 in Plain Dealing to Thurman and Jessie Cook Slack and passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at her home. She was a lifelong resident of this area and was a faithful member of the Oak Grove Assembly of God church. She was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Hamiter; her parents; three sisters, Florien, Dorline, Mary and a son-in-law, David Stiles.

She is survived by daughters, Evette H. Whatley and husband, Murlin of Haughton, LA; Debbie Lockey and Cliff Holt of Plain Dealing, LA; son, Robert Hamiter and wife, Linda of Plain Dealing, LA; grandchildren, Robert Whatley and wife, Michelle; Rhonda Adams and husband, Rick; Donna Harbour and husband, Stephen; Wayne Stiles and wife, Julie; Kevin Stiles and wife, Shelby; great-grandchildren, Aaron Adams, Wesley Adams, Taylor Harbour, Pearson Harbour, Ty Whatley, Jessie Harbour, Peyton Whatley, Emalie Stiles and Shelby Holt and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Ty Whatley, Aaron Adams, Wesley Adams, Pearson Harbour, Kevin Stiles and Wayne Stiles
