Barbara Greer

SHREVEPORT, LA - Barbara returned home to the Lord on Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at the Guest House. She had Parkinson's Disease and had been under Agape Hospice Care since last November.

She loved her family, church, and friends. She taught school for under-privileged children in Warrenton, VA before coming to Shreveport in 1980. Dear David, Barbara, John, and Doug - and family:
It seems like only yesterday Barbara and I were laughing and fooling around on Cursillo teams in Northern Virigina. Then we all moved to Shreveport together. What a joy it was to know Barbara. Though I have been gone from Shreveport for many years, I still feel the same closeness I always felt with Barbara - she was the kind of person you always felt at home with. I am praying for peace for all of you - and that Barbara may rest in peace. She was well-loved - by me as well as many others.
