SHREVEPORT, LA - Services celebrating the life of Charles "Chuck" Cason will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 31, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 4736 Lyba Street, Shreveport, LA. Officiating will be Father Francis Kamaua, Father Rothell Price and Father Thomas John Vadakemury.

Visitation and Vigil will begin at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at Heavenly Gates Funeral Home. Omega Memorial Service is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.

Chuck departed this life on Monday, March 28, 2011. He was preceded in death by his mother and father Walter and Shirley Cason and brother and sister Vernon Cason and Yvonne Cason Mathieu. He is survived by his wife, Gwendolyn Toney Cason, son Craig Anthony Cason (Patty), daughter Lekisha Cason and grandchildren Chase, Nicholas and Alexandra; 11 nieces, 19 nephews and a beloved former daughter-in-law Shelia Hebert Cason.

Pallbearers are Roy Jackson, Abner Hedgeman, Fred Moss, Jr, Jesse Coleman, Pete Anderson and Earnest Poole.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Vincent DePaul of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 4736 Lyba Street, Shreveport, LA 71109-6217.
