I remember Mr. Doss as a very kind and devoted man, to both his family and to his friends. He was also a very patient man when there was a house full of crazy and loud elementary school girls. Thank-you for always putting up with us!, Although Mrs. Doss helped keep us in line, especially on road trips to Dallas, for concerts! Thank-you Mr. Doss! Now you are with your loving wife!, and I'm sure that eventualy you will be welcomed by a very large group of family and friends, including my Dad!

The Final Salute
“Brothers in Arms”, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged “Hand Salutes” as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another.
This “Hand Salute” is the last that we shall render to Lt. Col. Clifford Doss our Brother in Arms. To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for Clifford. And to Clifford it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank him for the devoted and selfless service he rendered to his country during the Korean and Vietnam Wars while serving in the U.S. Air Force. Clifford we bid you a sad farewell. You will be dearly missed from among our ranks. Be at ease. Rest in Peace.
On behalf of the 1,452 members of Lowe-McFarlane Post 14 of the American Legion in Shreveport, Louisiana, I extend our sympathies and our condolences to Clifford’s family and loved ones.
