Mr. Craig Scogins

HEFLIN, LA - A Celebration of Life service will be held in honor of Mr. Craig Scogins on Sunday, September 20, 2009, at 2:00 PM at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel, with interment to follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family will be receiving friends on Saturday, September 19, 2009 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Hill Crest Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be Bro. Melton Prothro.

Mr. Scogins was born July 4, 1950 in Shreveport, LA. and passed away on September 18, 2009 at his home after a brief illness.

He was preceded in death by his father, Benton Scogins and sister, Linda Scogins.

He is survived by wife, Ethel Scogins; mother, Tommie Bolen, four daughters, Heather Yancey and husband Bernie, Jennifer Griffith and husband Darin, Gina Prothro and husband Drew and Kathy Shaw and husband Richard, one son, Eric Scogins and wife Rebecca and twelve grandchildren.

Memorials can be made to Shriner's Hospital, 3100 Samford Avenue, Shreveport, LA. 71103 or Up with Downs.

Ms. Scogins and Family:
Sorry for your loss. I will always remember growing up with Craig and Linda. Craig and I had alot of good times hunting and fishing on Coca-Cola Lake as well as school days at Bossier High.

So glad I got to see Ethel and Craig this past April. He was a very nice man. He got to go fishing with my dad this year when the brim were schooling. Glad to know he got to hit the water one last time! He was an avid fisherman when he was in good health and a great neighbor. He will be missed.
