STONEWALL, LA - Services to celebrate the life of Dorothy Mae Young Peloquin, 82, will be held on Friday, April 10, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. in the Centuries Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Heath Peloquin. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive guests on Thursday evening between the hours of 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Dorothy was born on September 8, 1926, in Lake Charles, LA to the late Joe and Lovenia Young and entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, April 7, 2009. She was raised in Lake Charles and moved to the Shreveport area 35 years ago. Dorothy was a resident of Stonewall, LA for the past 22 years and had lived in Shreveport for 13 years prior. She was a member of Mission Point Baptist Church of Stonewall, LA.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Aston Peloquin; and eight siblings. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, one sister, Elrena Wilkinson of Lake Charles; one daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl Peloquin Purvis and J.C. of Stonewall; three sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Bertha Peloquin of Independence, LA, Kenneth and Martha Peloquin of Rusk, TX, and Michael and Cindy Peolquin of DeBerry, TX; nine grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Bryan, James C., James B., and Dereck Peloquin, Joe Purvis, and Kyle McCoy. Centuries Memorial
