COUSHATTA, LA - Funeral services for Elizabeth Sibley, 95, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 18, 2008 at St. Savior Baptist Church, Coushatta, LA. Rev. Kirby Demery officiating. Burial will follow at Springville Cemetery.

Family hour will be Friday, October 17, 2008 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the church.

Mrs. Sibley passed away Saturday, October 11, 2008 in Gonzales, LA after a long illness. She was born in Tioga, LA, to the late parents, Henry Sly, Sr. and Gladys McCray. She was a resident of Coushatta, LA for 86 years and retired business service.

She was preceded in death by her spouse, Edmond Otis Sibley, Sr.; sons, Edmond Otis Sibley, Jr., Henry Otis Sibley, Sr.; Carolyn Frederick,

Survivors include daughters, Wanda Sibley Bell and Betty Vickers; 16 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren; 10 great-great granchildren; 3 nieces; one nephew.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Mays, Alex Jackson, Peter Drake, Jake Brisker, Ed Johnson, Edgar Taylor. Heavenly Gates Funeral Home

Wanda and Betty,

"Lib," as my daddy would say, was such a jewel during our Coushatta days. She did so much for so many and now it's her time to shine so be thankful for her well spent life.

May God continue to bless you and family as you grieve her loss.
