A Poem for Gary

I dreamt of you last night
Holding your own, within a huge flight
Up to the heavens, body & soul
Millions of others you were all so bold.

God's voice was definite, calling you home
“Come, be with me, among my Thrones
Be with thy God, and Jesus and Ours
Come, I call thee, come to my house”

You took a deep breath but nothing came
Nothing to establish your ground in Earths game
Up to the Heavens, you started your flight
God's Voice was calling, there was no fight

For when you reach the gates of the Lord
You'll rejoice with all, risen there evermore
And for those left far, far, far behind
In a trench stored deep in the heart sublime

I dreamt of you last night
And I heard God say,
‘Let him rest in My arms for now let him be
For he is finished with his test and the power is with me.”

I cried for you last night

Daniel, David & Wes, I'm so sorry for you guys because I know how much yall loved him. He was an amazing man & someone I looked up to for raising you 3 boys and did an amazing job! He was one of the best men I have met in the last few years! I miss him so much already but I could only imagine how you 3 sons feel. I know you all will follow in his footsteps(I know I would)if I had the chance.)
My brother, Amber's Daddy, and many more welcomed him to Heaven and I hope you all will take comfort in knowing he's in Heaven watching over all of us down here. RIP Gary!! You were one amazing man!!!

Gary and I worked together on several remodeling projects over the last 18 months. He took pride in his work and had a vision for what some would think was impossible. He was very professional and always looked out for his customers best interest. He always had a way of keeping things loose even when I was complaining about going over budget. I am shocked and saddened by the loss. He will truly be missed.

Gary started working in our home many years ago. What great work he did. Then a month later I needed some more work and called him again. He was no longer just a wonderful painter he had become our friend. I can hear his voice say "Hey Jade, how's Mike?". For all these years we have heard stories about his children and grandchildren and how much he loved them all. He couldn't wait until the end of the day so he could go take care of them. He loved his sons and was so proud of them.
We will miss his voice and miss him very much.

Ms.Shirley,Wayne,Rhonda,David,Daniel, Wesley and little David, and to the rest of the Ray family,
I am so sorry to hear about Gary. He was such a great person. He always had something nice to say and had a great attitude toward things. He was so unselfish also, just in the last couple of weeks, he helped his nephew make some money to help him. He could have kept the job all to himself but he choosed to help others. He never knew a stranger...May God give you all comfort and strength during this time, and may the memories you shared with Gary give you comfort. We will see him again in Heaven. I Love each and everyone of you. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Janie Ray Jordan
